Call for Abstracts
The portal for submission of abstracts for talks and posters contributions will be managed by Indico.
NOTE: If you are submitting an abstract, you will still need to register for the conference (these are independent acdtivities).
Abstracts will be submitted using the Indico site – a video guide is available should you need guidance with this process.
IMPORTANT: BEFORE submitting the abstract, you are required to set up a CERN “LIGHTWEIGHT” Indico account, if you are visiting for the first time. Please ensure that you select the LIGHTWEIGHT option.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 29 June 2021. When submitting your abstract, you will asked to indicate your preference for a talk or a poster (or either).
Abstract length should be no more than 300 words (excluding references); images cannot be included. Please also add up to 5 keywords describing your presentation to allow participants to easily identify contributions relevant to particular topics.
Accepted abstracts will be collated into a Book of Abstracts for the conference which will be published on the web and publicly available. All talks will be pre-recorded and posted on YouTube. All posters will be published on-line. Submission of your abstract is in agreement with this.
If selected for a contribution, the deadline for submission of the talk (pre-recorded & powerpoint/pdf) and/or poster is 09 August 2021.
We strongly encourage contributions from students and early-career researchers. (See Ethos / Code of Conduct / Diversity)
Talks will be 10 minutes with an additional 5 minutes for questions & answers, immediately following the presentation. Presenters will also have dedicated Gathertown spaces where delegates and meet them and chat with them, just after the final talk of the day has fininished (approx 12:15-13:00 BST on day of talk). Presenters will be expected to be “present” for their talk, Q&A session and “meet the speaker” session.
